Marble in Singapore River homes
Singapore River has riverside condos along Robertson Quay, Mohamed Sultan, Rodyk Street and Tong Watt Road, mostly from the 2000s. Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay condos from the 2000s usually have marble in the living and dining areas and the bathrooms. Most are now due for their first full hone and polish.
Local tip: Riverside units get a lot of foot traffic from balconies. Seal the floor after polishing to protect it from spills and grit.

About Singapore River
The Singapore River was the centre of trade from 1819, lined with godowns and busy with bumboats.
A ten-year clean-up from 1977 to 1987 moved the boats and industry out and made the river clean again.
The old warehouses became restaurants at Boat Quay and Clarke Quay, and Robertson Quay grew into a quieter riverside home with condos such as Rivergate and Watermark.
Landmarks
- Robertson Quay – Riverside cafes and condos.
- Clarke Quay – Restored godowns, now restaurants.
- Boat Quay – Shophouses facing the river.
- Alkaff Bridge – Painted pedestrian bridge at Robertson Quay.
MRT: Clarke Quay, Fort Canning and Great World MRT
