Marble Regrouting in Central Singapore

Grout holds marble tiles together and keeps water out from under them. When it cracks, goes black with mould or washes out, water gets under the tiles and causes hollow tiles, stains and smells. We rake out the old grout carefully so the marble edges don't chip, then refill with colour-matched cement or epoxy grout and seal it.

Marble Regrouting: what you should know

Why marble needs careful regrouting

Marble edges chip easily. Fast grinder-based grout removal can chip or scratch the tiles. We remove grout by hand and with fine oscillating blades, which takes longer but protects the stone.

Which grout for marble?

On floors and walls outside the shower, a fine cement grout colour-matched to the marble usually looks best. In showers and wet areas, epoxy grout resists water and mould better. We avoid acidic grout-haze removers, which etch marble.

Regrouting with polishing

Regrouting makes the tiles look cleaner, which can make dull marble stand out more. Many homeowners book regrouting and polishing together so the whole floor looks new.

Frequently asked questions

Can you regrout marble without damaging the tiles?

Yes. We remove grout by hand and with fine oscillating blades rather than a grinder, which protects the marble edges.

Should I use epoxy grout?

For showers and wet areas, epoxy is more water- and mould-resistant. For dry floors, a colour-matched cement grout usually looks more natural with marble.

Can you match my existing grout colour?

Yes. We bring colour samples and match the marble or the existing grout.

How long before I can shower?

Usually 24 hours after cement grout and 24 to 48 hours after epoxy, depending on the product.

Want your marble shining again?
